Jakob Ingemann, CEO & Partner, IZARAAs business advisor I first and foremost drive change and business process optimization. I do this by analyzing business requirements, current IT capabilities, and gaps, and develop sustainable IT strategies. I like to think of myself as an expert in developing strategic and practical recommendations and implementation road maps.

My day-to-day activities include IT due diligence, reviews and strategic recommendations, execution of strategies and project implementations including new business systems, infrastructure, and changing IT organizations.

Throughout the past 25 years I have managed and lead medium to large business transformation projects. These were within ERP, infrastructure standardization, and IT organization and business process optimization.

Business advisor with a practical history

As CIO of the Rosti Group in the early 2000s, I was responsible for business systems across 28 factories in 14 countries. Here I learned about the restrictions IT could put on a business’ potential. I developed the strategy for management information, implemented ERP, standardized infrastructure and optimized IT processes and organization into a business-supporting organization.

Later, for A.P. Moller – Maersk’s Group IT, I expanded my knowledge through advising on infrastructure and architecture for a large scale group-wide ERP roll out and global communications platform. I established the 40-man Architecture and Infrastructure department, managed and operated infrastructure solutions, and acted as a member of Microsoft Business Solutions EMEA Advisory Board/Citrix Global Customer Council, while managing all end-user support for Maersk’s approximately 3.000 Danish users.

I hold a B.Sc. Business Administration, and an Executive MBA from Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and work as external advisor and examiner on the MBA program. I believe in constant improvement and continue to stay on top of the game through review of different industry and technology trends and white papers.

I am all-round, driven by my desire to optimize and transform the industry from technical to business-oriented for our customers’ sake. Therefore, you can find me getting my hands dirty with development of product costing models, ERP posting rules, SOPs, site training material, etc. At other times I function as CIO as a Service – that is a part time IT advisor and governance for mid-size enterprises that do not need a full-time CIO.
